This is just a quick update on our final meeting. As you know, we have officially been recognized as a club. Student council requires that we do two fundraisers each semester in order to apply for funds. Quick-n-Dirty counts as our first and Jared’s MFA-sponsored premiere will serve as the second. We also plan on selling DVDs of Q&D films, perhaps through the website. The details have yet to be worked out.
BUSINESS FOR THE FALL:
Since Jared and Joe are graduating, we have open seats for officers. Alana will be moving up to president and Taylor will be our new technical advisor. Official elections will take place when we return.
Melinda mentioned a really amazing opportunity for us next summer. We will probably be heading out to Colorado in order to make a Western! We will be discussing that more in detail next semester.
Jared also informed us about a grant involving film reviews and WMUH (Berg’s radio station). Again, it’s another good opportunity for the MFA and we should know more about it soon.
It’s been a great year and start to the MFA. Good luck to those seniors headed to the real world and I hope you all enjoy our last week of school.
